Coach

I was born in Hinsdale, Illinois and moved to Texas before the age of one. I graduated from Arlington Martin High School, where I played varsity football and baseball. After high school I was blessed to be drafted overall 14th in the first round of the MLB draft by the Oakland Athletics. I was a pitcher and played 15 years professionally. I played 11 seasons in the Major Leagues for Oakland, Detroit, Texas, Pittsburg, and Cincinnati. Since I retired from playing in 2005, I have coached youth sports and select baseball.

I have been married to my wife Alecia for 23 years. We have 3 children, Halee, Tate, and Riley. Halee is currently attending and playing volleyball at Belmont University in Nashville. Tate is senior and Riley is a freshman, both attend Argyle High School and play football and baseball.

I am coaching at Impact Baseball Club because the organization has Christian family values. It allows me the opportunity to pass on the knowledge I gained during my baseball playing career.  I believe in teaching players how to be successful playing the game and preparing them to be successful off the field in life.
